Discuss the starters for Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum.

I picked Chimchar because it looked beast. I kept it on my team for ages and it grew into an Infernape. Thats when Infernape started being my favorite Pokemon.

My water hm slave in gold had whirlpool strength surf and waterfall.
it was a marrill in saphire it was the same thing but i had dive instead of whirlpool, another good HM slave was tropius cause it could learn Fly, flash, cut, and rock smash.

i agree with ya - then in diamond and pearl - a new HM slave bidoof and bibarel arrived amd they can learn more than 4 HM moves each

now that i agree with you, thats what i did, now heres the stupidest thing if heard of, using mew as an HM slave. Even though it can learn any TM or HM that is still kind of a waste dont you think

In pearl i used machop as an HM slave

on diamond i used bibarel as a HM slave - the same as in platinum - i then traded it to soulsilver hehe

in HG i used the same HM slaves i used in my crystal version

An amphoros with Headbutt, Flash, and for heartgold i added Rock Climb
a sandslash with Rock Smash, Strength, Dig, and Cut
a Lapras with Whirlpool, Waterfall, Surf, and the ill let it learn some ice move later cause i do battle with it.
Then I just let my crobat know fly!

i hated the fact that you couldn't get rock climb until you get all 16 badges - what moves would you teach to a turtwig

i actually never have used a turtwig but.. Leech Seed, Toxix, Giga Drain , and Earth Power

what about piplup and chimchar (MY 1300th POST)

look i dont like the fourth generation starters that much but here goes

Piplup: Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Drill Peck, and Dive
Chimchar: Blaze Kick, Double Kick, Thunderpunch, and Facade

well - i guess they're good movesets for those pokes
