Major Oil Spill

There is a oil rig near the Gulf of Mexico run by the oil/gas company BP. There is a broken pipe and all their stopping ideas didn't work. the oil is at Key West, Florida at the moment. President Obama is helping to stop it. It is heading toward a area with big currants which might speed up the pace of the oil.

Discuss about it here. Please no hateful comments about America because i live in America. I don't like America getting nasty comments.

Man I hope they can get rid of the oil. I heard about this on channel 1 news.

Alot of sea life is dying form this.

and the attempts to plug the oil spill failed too

I feel bad for those sea creatures.

this is a serious matter, the oil spill started after an explosion

it also affected the lives of people in the area

yer we need to clean it up

apparently it will take ages too

at least there is a ship that is there and when it goes over oil it scoops it up

Have they tried any new ideas to stop the spill? I haven't been up to date sense the failed attempt with the cement thing.

They have tried various things. THe containment cap has been the most effective but that got messed up somehow.
