Phpbb3
Punbb
Invision
Re: What Version.
I don't know if I've ever been on a forum with PunBB or Invision. I doubt it.
And as for phpBB2, if I have been on a forum with it, I never noticed a difference. So I would say stick with phpBB3, or just go to phpBB2.
Although, I kinda want to see PunBB and/or Invision, so I can know if I like them better.
So I won't vote.

I voted Invision solely from personal bias.

I like Zetaboards better, but if we go to Zetaboards, we'll have to completely switch. URLs and everything. And register again... and bla bla blaMatt wrote:Err, Add Zetaboards to the list please.

Re: What Version.
PunBB is smaller, scalable, and is easier to customize, but it doesn't have as many features as PHPBB. It has a simpler admin panel. However, it doesn't have polls, which is a rather large setback considering there's a polls forum here.
Invison takes the cheese of being the most customizable forum version IMO, but it's quite complex. Some things require PHP knowledge, and is a bit harder to manipulate around.
I'd go with PHPBB3 since it outclasses PHPBB2 and since it's a later version, means you have less of a chance of getting completely hacked. PHPBB has bloated code (which doesn't really matter since the forum isn't running on a server that you own), but it's faster, has support for older browsers, and is a lot easier and simpler to use. It's open source, too. It's not as customizable as Invision by a long shot, but there are PHPBB hacks out there that you can install. For an admin who isn't a total geek with computer stuff, PHPBB is my suggestion.

Re: What Version.
BTW, why were you wanting to know? Don't we already run on Phpbb3?

As far as I know, the site is running smoothly, do we really need to switch? I know the vote has been cast, but I see no reason for a vote to ever have been taken.
