Most useless moves besides Splash

What do you think are the most useless moves in Pokemon besides Splash?

in my opinion role play would be useless 'cuz although it copies the foes ability - if the copied ability is of no use to you then it would be considered useless

well it depends on their ability though - no point in using it if their abilty would benefit you - all role play does is copy the foes ability

kadabra copied blaze

see if kadabra has no fire moves then that would be pretty useless

In my opinion explosion is the most useless move. I know it is the most powerful move there is, but very few pokemon can learn it, and if it hits you automatically faint anyway.

I agree with you Red. Usually if your going against a strong Pokemon, Exploison wont make it faint.

i think substitute is the most useless, you cant predict what the foe would use and it ussually works against you

a selfdecruct would be worse than explosion since it has an even lower chance of making the pokemon faint

Yes selfdestruct is a bad move too use.

i agree selfdestruct is worse - why have two self fainting moves anyway - they're just as bad as each other except explosion's stronger

If my Pokemon ever learns self destruct (especially if they always ignore orders) then i'll replace that move with any good tm right away.

now I had an idea of why role play might be usfull. Imagine if spiritomb had it and was in a double battle and shedninja as it's partner. Couldn't you use roleplay on shedninja with your spiritomb?

spiritomb then couldn't be hit by attacks because he now has shedninjas ability to wondergaurd anything that doesn't hit super affective. Spiritomb has no hits that are super affective against it.

yea, but there are other ways to hit a pokemon with wonder guard, just use moves like toxic

not really, toxic inflicts badly poison so the foes HP goes down more each round

but if you can't hit it with any attacks imagine if it had some move to heal it or had a chansey and used sofboiled. there are so many ways to get around that. Besides the spiritomb would be attacking each round koing a lot of pokemon before it actually fainted from poison.

There are many ways to hit a Sableye or Spritomb with Wonder Guard.

Status-ailments. Spikes and Stealth Rock. Beat Up. Future Sight. Doom Desire. Weather conditions. Fire Fang. (Don't ask why, but Fire Fang hits all Pokemon with Wonder Guard, even if it's not super-effective)
