My lvl 100 Staraptor is nicknamed Lappiere after my teacher. When you send a Staraptor out for battle, the sound it makes sounds like Mrs. Lappiere yelling.

What kinds of nicknames did you give your Pokemon?

I called my torterra Dusty after my old friend

I named my Groudon,Jaws after the movie/shark...

i named my golbat,Batman..after watching batman on tv.
I name my Grimer,Grimmy after my slob of a brother who`s nickname is Grimm.
also i name my koffing,Cough weeze cause people Cough and Weeze...

I am naming all my Pokemon in Leafgreen after Big Time Rush characters.

i name my flying type pokes flaps (swellow - staraptor - and pidgeot)
i named my magikarp rage - 'cuz i was meant to evolve it but i forgot

there are tons of nicknames i gave my pokes but it would be too hard to post them all lol

I named my forrestres Vauxbomb the "bomb" part because he knows explosion. And the "vaux" part for effect.

i usually name my pokes i catch after what they are based from i.e. foxie for a female vulpix on LG

I'll be honest, I never found a point in naming my Pokemon when I was playing the games. To me, it just made it seem more difficult for me to work out which ones I want to you.
